Cross Country!
On Wednesday 11th of September our school Waikowhai Primary did Cross Country! I was an epic day and we all had a lot of fun. The best part of this years Cross Country was the fact that it was a fun run. We had fundraised for 2 months making 14 thousand dollars. Our fundraising goes towards a canopy for our school. So on the day we had a lot of different activites that spell SKOR standing for Skiping, Kicking, Obstacle course and the Run. I was a leader so I went around with all the year 5 kids helping them get SKOR. My fav part was when I was into the last hunderd metres of the run and me and my friend Torian started sprinting down the finsh line. He still won :( It was a great day full of fun. If you have a school fun run you will probally have as much fun as I did (LOTS).

School Camp!
School Camp!
As I woke up on tuesday excitement flowing through my body I got ready as fast as I could and zoomed up to school...
Hey bloggers last week was our school camp and I was probly the most fun thing I could have done in my life like how many schools get to go to Mt Ruapehu? Well our school did and we all had a blast.
On the day of camp we had to get to school at 7:30 and meet our group color in the junior block. By this time my heart was pounding and I was extremly excited. Then in front of all the seniors eyes two big buses pulled up at school we were ready to leave. We boarded our buses in our group color and started our jurney. Our first stop was the Hamilton Gardens, we all had fun looking at the differnt gardens my favoruite garden was the Chinese Garden because it had a cool pond with goldfish in it. We had a lot of stops on our way but my fav was still the gardens. The bus trip took us 9 and a 1/2 hours but we all made it safely to the Crossing Lodge.
The days at the Crossing backpackers were cool we had a games room to play table tenis and things like that. There was also a really cool movie room to get to it you had to open a wardrobe and walk inside then you would find a big TV.
The time we had on the mountain was even better we skied and snowboarded that was fun. The best part was when my group leader (Donald) took us up the mountain and to a jump and then I jumped of it and got a heap of air once I landed it I manged to continue down the mountain.
I think if your a Middle student and camp is coming up for you in two years you shouldn't waste a second in signing the form to say you are going because it is the best experiance you could have ever! It might sound like a lot of money but really after all the fundrasing it isn't much.
Here are some photos of us on camp.

Camp Feelings!
Hey bloggers
Tomorrow is camp!
And a lot of the Senoir kids are very exited like me but we also have differnt feelings for instance I am a little scared because I have gone skiing three times and been on the mountain to go tobogganing once before but I have never gone skiing on the mountain. I'm not so scared about the skiing part because it's really easy i'm scared about the dangers like rocks or avalances. One thing that will really push me to my limits is the gondalas. I went to Rotorua and went on a gondola when I went to the luge. It's really scary when it stops half way up the mountain and you feel like it's going to fall. One thing that I will gain from going on camp is making stonger friendships not with my good frineds but with the whole Syndicate.
After camp I think I will feel very relevied because I am not hurt I will also be happy because I will be reunited with my family.

Holiday Narratives
Hey there bloggers!
This term we have been writing narratives about our holidays. We sort of did a recount but we exaggerated it and turned it into a narrative. At first we did a plan in our books using a mountain. The bottom of the mountai]n was your starting sentence then a little up the montian was a promlom then at the top of the mountain was the climax (the worst part of the problem). After the climax there was the resolution(a little down the mountain) the part where you fix your problem. And lastly there was the ending. I really liked doing these naratives because I could use my imagonation to create something that I worth reading. unlike recounts everyone thinks there boring.
Here is a bit of my story
Then suddenly they disappeared and I was falling into blackness. For a second I thought I had died, but then whenever I thought of something….. it appeared!! Then I realised where I was, I was in my own IMAGINATION! It was so fun.Click to continue my narrative.
Have fun reading! Blog U later

Basketball Zones
One week ago on the 1st of August me and 9 other senior school students went to Basketball Zones. It was a lot of fun and we did very well. We won 4 lost 3 and drew 1. There where 9 schools there including us the schools were Waikowahi, May Road teams 1 & 2, Christ the King, Three Kings teams 1&2, M.P.L.S, Hillsborough and Halsey Drive. It was a very energectic day and at the end we were all very tired. The event was held at Trust Staidum in Henderson. Sport Auckland sponsored the Event and ABSL Auckland Basketball Services Limited organised the event.
One highlight was when I blocked this kid from Hillsborough and took it down a scored. Then in the second half I got ankle broke by the him. That was very funny. I also made a few friends on other teams this was cool but then they won because I wasn't focused on the game I was to busy talking to my new friend.
Here are some photos of the day.

Climate Change March
Climate Change March.
On the 24th of May there was another Climate Change march. This time the whole of the senior syndicate went. This was very fun as everyone of the seniors got to experience a march. We all made signs to march with, mine said I want a hot date loaf not a hot planet that was what our main sign said but we had lots of little signs stapled on to our piece of wood. The march was at Aotea Square and there was a lot of people marching. We marched down Queen Street and we did a lie-in where we lie down on the road for 1-2 minutes to make traffic. We
successfully shutdown Queen Street for 1 hour and 5 minutes. After the march was finished I went straight home while the school went back on a school bus. It was a very fun day and I hope to do a third one.
