Stop motion animator!

Hello bloggers, Today 10/8/18 in class, we went on the app called stop motion animator. Stop motion animator is a site or an app where you take lots of photos of objects and then move the objects a tiny bit each time to take a new photo. Later you can make the photos into a movie. Today we had a play around with play dough. We put it on the table to move them. It was a really fun activity. I had fun because I was being attacked by the play dough. Near the end of the film I held something and that is a play dough bomb. Next time I think I would try make a movie that has play dough superhero characters.

Visual art pictures

Hi viewers this term we have been doing art.

Materials:

• Acrylic paint 
• paint brushes 
• paper 

1. First we had to pick a NZ bird or animal to do our picture on. I picked the NZ black robin. 
2. Next we had to  get the outline of the bird by going on a google drawing. 
3. Then our teacher printed out the work. 
4. We then had to use a sketch pencil to sketch the outline and go around it with a pen to make it come out on the other piece paper.
5.  Then we made geometric patterns on it.
6.  Finally we had to paint it.

 I thought that it was really fun but I think that I would have liked to use different colours (yellow, orange and red).

Tiritiri Matangi island

Hi guys today I will be telling you about Tiritiri Matangi island. On Thursday last week we went to Tiritiri Matangi island. We had to be at school 7:30 to get on the bus after that we got onto the ferry and went to the island. We went to see birds and learn about them.  It was really fun I learned a lot about the black robin. There was some cool facts about the birds like did you know that if you saw three takahe on the island you would have seen one percent of the worlds takahe.

Zoo trip !!!

The zoo trip !!!

This week (Week 7)  we went to the zoo. We had go to have some time to look around but we had lessons too. In the lesson we learnt about lots of birds. Did you know that the Haast eagle's wings were between 2-3 meters long and the bird was about 1-2 meters long (that is big)? We also got to go super close to a kereru. We had lots of fun but the best thing was the Bug Lab. The Bug Lab is where you get to go and learn about bugs. Did you know the Japanese bee rubs its prey till they burn? So we had rub a button till it was hot -  that was fun.

tsunami proof house

hi guys this week (week 6) we had to make a DLO (digital learning object)  of a tsunami proof house on tinker cad I made a wall to protect the house but if that doesn't go to plan the is a underground bunker that the people can go to.

Reading

 hi bloggers  

hi it's Noah and today I will be telling you about what my reading group have been doing this week and last week. In Vince Ford reading our Teacher Mr Riceman has made us a slide that we had to do. There were lots of activities and we had to do them. One of them was a tinker cad of a waka it was really easy doing a tinker cad because I did it last year. We also went on young ocean explores and watched videos of saving the world I learnt a lot about saving the world (did u now that every five minutes 1 dump truck of Rubbish is going in to the water) . The task was really easy for me but quite challenging for others. Then we published it to our blog to share with Ako Hiko and more who like to read our blog posts.
